Effortless Style Made Easy with TBE
Is it me or does it suddenly seem like less is so much more?
The Minimalist lifestyle has been gaining notoriety for a while now, and I love the idea of only owning items that have meaning, or a story behind them. So let us take this idea and consider what trimming down the closet would look like…
Something that has always intrigued me is a capsule wardrobe. Think downsizing your closet to 20-30 items. Sounds crazy I know… but hear me out. What if everything you owned matched? You have beautiful staple items, and a few eclectic pieces that help tie outfits together... you would always have something to wear…! Aha! A no-fail system to getting dressed. Brilliant.
Let’s take my Auntie Di for example… since I was little I've always thought she has looked fabulous. Each season she buys about three new things. She picks them out knowing it will help to elevate and update her last season purchases. Now, not everyone is born with this skill… or diligence…. But buying items that help us to pull our wardrobe together is something worth doing.
On top of looking fabulous, think about all the money we waste on that jacket that was on sale, we only wore it twice, and then gave away. Instead, what if we spend our hard earned money on a few items and wear them for years? Love them to death, and only get rid of them once they truly have no wear left?
Our jackets and pullovers were made to help one achieve this kind of effortless style… neutral colors tones, rich textures, etc.
The point is: I wanted to design something that would match everything… from the barn to the city... on-the-go chic.
