Inside T.B.E.: Product Development
Hello to our T.B.E. community! We've got a few things up our sleeve right now and we wanted to give you a bit of a behind the scenes look at what we have been working on.
Last Thursday, we spent the day in DTLA working on the development of a few new products that will be launching later this year. We thought it might be fun to share what a product development meeting looks like and what processes take place prior to the launch of a new T.B.E. item. Keep reading to find out!
Once we have a clear idea of what kind of product we are looking to make, we start with the first meeting. During this meeting, we discuss the style, fabric/material, function and fit. We have an incredible team of women working with us who are able to take our ideas and bring them to life.
As soon as the first sample is complete, we schedule meeting #2, and see if the original idea we had, properly translated to the physical product.
It's super important for us to try the product on to test the fit. One of the best things about T.B.E. is that our products are flattering on all body types. We make sure that different girls try on the products to make sure that the fit is right on everyone.
The first sample is treated very much like a rough draft. During this second development meeting, we are really able to pinpoint the parts that are perfect and the parts that need to be tweaked a bit. Each product usually goes through about 3-4 development meetings before we give the go ahead to start production. Once we feel that the product is just right, we press go.
We hope this gave you a little insight into what product development looks like for T.B.E., and hopefully got you excited for the new pieces we have launching in the next few months.
We can't give away too much at the moment, but what we can tell you is that you are going to have some GREAT new outfits this summer.
Thank you for following along with us, we cannot wait to keep sharing what we have in store!
